Installation: Playstation 3 Console with Custom Firmware (CFW) Installed. A Copy of Grand Theft Auto V with gameID (BLES01807) GTAV version MUST be at 1.26 GTAV: Elite Edition CORE (get it here)
You must first install the Elite Edition CORE (by Elite Electronics) before you can install GTAV:EE, please download the CORE HERE. Your GTAV version MUST be 1.26 for GTAV:EE to work properly, if you are not at v1.26 please update your game to 1.26 via wifi/pkg. Once you have a fully updated GTAV at 1.26, and the GTAV:EE CORE downloaded you can proceed to install it by copying ALL files from the zip archive into your Grand Theft Auto V game folder (in GAMES), overwriting the originals. Thats all there is to it, for those that need more help i have written Multiman File Copy instructions below.
MULTIMAN FILE COPY INSTRUCTIONS Download GTAV: Elite Edition CORE, create a new folder named "install" and extract the contents of the CORE archive into the "install" folder you created. Inside your "install" folder you should have PS3_GAME, PS3_README, PS3_GAME, PS3_EXTRAS, ETC. Copy the "install" folder to a USB Flash Drive or External HDD. Turn on your PS3 and insert your USB/HDD into PS3 USB slot. Load up MultiMan switch to TMB or XMB view, go all the way to the left to the "multiMan" column and select "File Manager/mmOS" Select "PS3 Root" icon on the mmOS desktop, This will bring up a file explorer menu. Select "dev_hdd0", and then select "GAMES", find your GTAV game folder and enter it, now move that window to the side with your joystick. (Do NOT exit out of the window, just move it aside.) Select "PS3 Root" icon on the mmOS desktop again to bring up another file explorer menu. This time select "dev_usb000" or "dev_usb001" whichever one is your USB/HDD. (changes depending on what slot you plug USB/HDD into) Now you should be at the root of your USB/HDD, locate the "install" folder you copied in Step 2, and enter it. Use your joystick to highlight ALL files and folders inside of "install" folder (PS3_GAME, PS3_EXTRAS, PS3_CONTENT, PS3_README, PS3_SPRX, and PS3_DISC.SFB), and press "O" (circle) to open pop up menu. Highlight "Copy" and press "X", you should see a message stating you copied data to clipboard. Now use your joystick over to the window we moved aside in step 6 and press "X" to pull it forward. Press "O" to open pop up menu, and highlight "Paste" and press "X" It will ask you if you want to overwrite, select "Yes". It will ask you if your sure, select "Yes". Wait for it to finish copying all the files... Now go back to the "GAME" column in Multiman and mount GTAV: Elite Edition. CORE installed successfully, all you have to do now is install GTAV:EE pkg via the XMB menu system. Browse to "GTA V: Elite Edition (Install Mods)" icon in GAME column and install GTAV:EE Install complete! You can switch freely between GTAV:EE and vanilla GTAV via the "Install Mods" category
Make sure you have installed the correct Eboot Bypass in the "Install Mods" column of XMB. There are 3 different versions, CEX, DEX, and REX. By default CEX eboot is installed as most users use this type of console firmware. If you are getting "Infinite Loading Screen" then check to make sure you have the correct EBOOT installed. Also DEX/REX eboot users will need to re-install their eboot if Recovery Mode is used. For example, since CEX is installed by default when you switch back to GTAV:EE you will also need to install your DEX/REX eboot AFTER you install the GTAV:EE PKG. You can check your eboot type by highlighting GTAV:EE's gamedata within the XMB.
Freezing WILL occur sometimes if your using the mod menu! This is not my fault, and I do not maintain the mod menu scripts. Using alot of the menus at once or simply changing some of the settings can cause a freeze...trial and error. Best to save before using the menus, and prepare for a freeze if your changing alot of stuff
