Hello all,

I've added some features to the XMB under the Users menu / I based it on the Reboot addon by ErMaK86 & Echo6vi.

The new features are:

USB/HDD Gamedata Switch
Quick Launch Rebug Toolbox ** NOT WORKING ATM **
Refresh Webman Game List (Reboot Required After) -- as it refreshes the XML list
Unmount PS3/PS2/PS1/Media Disc
Eject Disc From Tray
Insert Disc (If in tray/Or if Unmounted)

Extra XMB Features 0.2 by JulianRDTG & ErMaK86 & Echo6vi

First of all: Kudos and credit to ErMaK86 & Echo6vi for their XMB Lock & Reboot System option. I based this addon off the Reboot System option - so all credits for that goes to them.

NOTE: The Quick Luanch Rebug Toolbox - Hopefully in the next version I will get this working. Also, this works on all custom firmwares, not just REBUG.

Once I get the quick launch feature working, I will create variations of different toolbox launchers for their corresponding firmwares.

INSTALLATION: Ok, I am going to make this readme as simple as possible!

Step 1:

In the folder copyto-dev_hdd0: Using ftp (or multiman), copy the contents of that folder (not the folder itself) to /dev_hdd0

Step 2:

In the folder copyto-dev_blind~vsh~resource~explore~xmb:

Make SURE your dev_flash is mounted as dev_blind, but BE CAREFUL! I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR BRICKS!

Again, using ftp (or multiman), copy the contents of that folder ( not the folder itself ) to: /dev_blind/vsh/resource/explore/xmb

I recommend backing up category_user.xml from your dev_blind before replacing it.

Credits: All extra features EXCEPT the Reboot System feature credit to JulianRDTG.

The Reboot System feature comes with the XMB Lock tool, credits for that go to ErMaK86 & Echo6vi.

If anyone knows how to launch an ELF/EBOOT via XML from the XMB, please let me know, I would greatly appreciate it. I am still tinkering.

Update: I just released version 0.5, I updated the main post at the top so download links are there. I moved everything to the Network tab.

Perform a FULL restart of your PS3 (Power off - then power on)

NOTE: The payload mamba for now has no function if launched from Gameosnic Manager or any other fork Iris Manager, for this in this release is disabled.

IrisMAN 3.47.1 Changelog: (via openmodding.net/T-ps3-ps3-irisman-3-47-1-unofficial-update-by-alexander?pid=100796#pid100796) attempts to fix the following glitch:

From Charlie.bucket: freezing after starting any mounted game, forced to hold power button for 30 seconds, after 3 times of freezing/resetting i got caught in a restore database loop and had to re-install ferrox 4.75 v1.00.

- Updated new MAMBA of _NzV_
- Updated patches deank with those of M @ tsumoto

USB keys create folders in the element PS3 UPDATE, downloaded files are converted to PS3UPDAT.PUP, Copy to folder UPDATE.

STARTING Games:

Download MAMBA and also WebMan.
Put the USB stick in PS3 install through the install package FILES, go to Mambo hold X until it beeps once console restarts.
Now go to WebMan and press X console restarts, the package installs the new component WebMan games- here you can run games.

When mamba is installed you can use for running a MultiMan for now as cobra CFW therefore has a separate emulation BD.

NOTES:

Installed either by XMB that Recovery. In case are proceeding by Recovery remove any CD from the PS3.

After installation enter Recovery and rebuild the file system to prevent any malfunction.

Games tested IrisMan 3.47.1. Some games may require conversion to ISO.

By installing this CFW Console player running, it will be NOT running. CFW installed a "Standard" and return to work.

Version 0.2
Here is a new release which includes some third party controllers like the Razer Onza. Also as verified by malckdaddy the plugin seems to load better with prxloader rather than boot_plugins.txt method.

This needs more testing but I made a sprx xpad driver for ps3. Not all games will work with it but most should. Currently it only supports wired Xbox 360 controllers. I may include wireless Xbox 360 & Xbox One controllers later if people are interested.

Also there is no rumble for now. (Need to find a way to grab actuator params from games). The Xbox button maps to the PS button and LEDs correspond to the port number it's connected to.

Note: Playstation DS2 and DS3 controllers have pressure sensitive buttons while Xbox 360 controllers do not. This may make some games like Metal Gear Solid unplayable. Sixaxis is obviously unsupported too.
